What we're usually looking at
- Ceramic fuses instead of circuit breakers
- No safety switches (RCDs) fitted
- Visible scorching, rust or loose wiring
- No spare capacity for a solar inverter, battery or EV circuit
- A single-phase board where a planned upgrade needs three-phase
Not every older switchboard needs full replacement — sometimes targeted work is enough. We'll tell you which applies once we've had a look.
